After several unsuccessful meetings with uninformed \/ unhelpful sales people at Sears, we finally ended up going to the excellent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goemans.com\/\">Goemans Appliances<\/a> in Stoney Creek.  The woman who helped us was awesome, and the showroom floor is really quite excellent &#8211; a large selection and all very well displayed.<\/p>\n<p>We ended up getting LG models of <a href=\"http:\/\/ca.lge.com\/en\/prodmodeldetail.do?actType=search&#038;page=1&#038;modelCategoryId=050401&#038;categoryId=050401&#038;parentId=0504&#038;modelCodeDisplay=WM1814CW&#038;model=Select+a+model\">Washer<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/ca.lge.com\/en\/prodmodeldetail.do?actType=search&#038;page=1&#038;modelCategoryId=050402&#038;categoryId=050402&#038;parentId=0504&#038;modelCodeDisplay=DLE2514W&#038;model=Select+a+model\">Dryer<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/ca.lge.com\/en\/prodmodeldetail.do?actType=search&#038;page=1&#038;modelCategoryId=0507&#038;categoryId=0507&#038;parentId=05&#038;modelCodeDisplay=LDF7810BB&#038;model=Select+a+model#\">Dishwasher<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/ca.lge.com\/en\/prodmodeldetail.do?actType=search&#038;page=1&#038;modelCategoryId=050102&#038;categoryId=050102&#038;parentId=0501&#038;modelCodeDisplay=LRTN19324BK&#038;model=Select+a+model\">Fridge<\/a>. We would have kept with LG for our stove too but they don&#8217;t make them yet, so, instead, we went with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geappliances.ca\/jsp\/ge_Features.jsp?model_id=47941&#038;product_id=6&#038;cmb_Brands=---&#038;cmb_Colours=---&#038;cmb_496=---&#038;cmb_565=---&#038;cmb_PriceMax=---&#038;cmb_PriceMin=---&#038;count=&#038;x=&#038;y=\">GE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Everything will be delivered the Saturday after next.  We also have &#8220;buyers&#8221; lined up to take our old appliances.  Since we would have paid to have them removed anyway, we saved a bit of money by having friends pick them up for free.<\/p>\n<p>Only the washer and dryer are being installed for us (it seems that getting them balanced is a little tricky).
