That’s great if all you want to do is watch movies – but there is still no reliable way of recording shows on TV that you would otherwise miss. Things like TIVO are still in their infancy (and they’re so full of “features” that I’m sure many people, such as myself, don’t want that I don’t think they’ll ever become a permanent replacement) and I’ve yet to see just<\/i> a standalone recordable DVD solution that you could integrate between your cable connection and TV as you currently can with a VCR. (Okay, actually I think I have heard of them – but they’re so expensive at the moment that it’s just not worth it.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
